Who I Am
WHO I AM:

I am a retired physician and professor living here in New England (photos from Martha's Vineyard and White Mountain vacations) I do a fair amount of volunteer work and run the occasional marathon. I have no political aspirations, nor do I work for any advocacy organization. Beyond Econ 101 in college, I have no training in economics.

This project started with my deciding to do my own taxes. The more I studied our tax system, the more incensed I became at the tax advantages lawmakers have given the investing-class wealthy at expense of middle-class working people. Our tax system is not only unfair. It is bad for our economy and contributes to the underfunding of important national priorities. It leads to a good deal of suffering and weakens our nation. We can do much better.
